30th of September 2007 Jouni ”The Machine” Viitanen and Bliss clinic start co-operation
The most succesful athlete of The Aero Team Finland and Bliss Clinic start co-operation. Jouni Viitanen is the european champion in sport aerobics. He has also been rewarded with silver medal twice and bronze in the world championships. Bliss Clinic wants to help one of the most succesful athlete in Turku with their high knowledge of human resources.
The aim of this co-operation is to improve the functions in Viitanen’s body, shorten the recovery time and help him to get back from possible injuries. The final goal is to adjust Viitanen’s body to be in optimal shape when it’s time to compete for gold medal.
The man who has designed the treatments for the european champion is Fraser Bliss. He is the only chiropractor specialiced for athletes in Finland. Bliss Clinic uses many different kinds of treatments for Viitanen and each treatment has been designed for his specific needs. The treatments they for example use are trigger point therapy, physiotherapeutic work and specific treatments to open locks and treat injuries. The man in charge, Fraser, believes very strongly for treating his patients as a whole. So he helps Viitanen also menthally and the help is not only for the upcoming World Championships but also for life.

16.1 2007 New year, new tricks by Jouni himself
So the year has changed to new. How was the last year then?
When I look back, I feel that year 2006 was a year with full of action. First of all getting better from the injury I had, getting back to training and the game and of course the bronze medal from the world championships.
The year 2006 was also full of travelling. 9 months in Australia with beautiful people, amazing athletes and good friends. The time over there was full of new experiences, lots of laughter, but also hard work and tears of pain.
Over all I have more positive memories about the whole year, even though the bronze from the worlds was a disappointment for me. I got a lot of mental strength during my journey through the year, which will surely help me in the future!
For the new year I have one major event that I would like to do very well in. The worlds 2007 in November. My goal of course need to be the peak position after two silver and bronze. I will also compete in the European champs in March. And yes, I do have couple of new tricks in my sleeve. We´ll see if they will be in my routine already in the Europeans or should I wait until the November...
